During one period of its history, Northeast was considered a magnet themed school-Law, Public Service, and Military (JROTC). Classroom spaces were constructed to support these themes such as a mock courtroom, judge’s chambers and jury room. The interior of the building was renovated in 2014.
At the top of the marble staircase to the second floor is a specially remodeled area which houses the many years of Northeast memorabilia organized by alumni members. Northeast touts one of the largest alumnae groups in the nation.
Northeast offers traditional high school courses, Advanced Placement and Dual Credit Courses. Students have opportunities to visit colleges, universities, and other post-secondary institutions and to participate in job shadowing and internships related to their career interests.
